Diana “Wynter” Gordon (born August 25, 1988, in South Jamaica, Queens, New York) is an American pop / dance singer and songwriter. She started composing for other artists, after signing with Atlantic Records where she started working on her debut album, while continuing to write songs for other artists and contribute as a vocalist in songs of different genres.

In 2016, the singer signs with the 4AD record label under her real name, Diana Gordon.

He was born and raised in South Jamaica, a humble neighborhood of Queens, in New York. She graduated from the Superior School of Music and Art “Fiorello H. LaGuardia” and did an internship with a record company, Gordon composed her first song, “Daddy’s Song” at the age of 15. She has other collaborations for her album that will carry the same name as the song. One year later, Wynter Gordon wrote the song “The Breakthrough”, by Mary J. Blige, who loved him so much.

While driving several job offers, he met his manger, Keith White, through Don Pooh Music Group, at Atlantic Records. Wynter has been working with producer D’Mile since 2004, where they both composed their first song, “Gonna Breakthrough”, for Mary J. Blige in 2005, included in the album The Breakthrough, and in 2008, Wynter wrote two songs (“2 of You” and “Do Me Good”) for the second album of the band Danity Kane, Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Wynter co-wrote the single “Sugar,” a collaboration for rapper Flo Rida included on his album R.O.O.T.S. in 2009. This song granted him a high degree of popularity establishing itself as a voice of reference.The song became an international success and reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Wynter also co-wrote and sang in the song “Toyfriend” included in the album One Love by French DJ David Guetta in 2009.

Collaborated in the composition of four songs for pop artist Jennifer Lopez, “What Is Love”, “What Is Love Part II”, “Starting Over” and “Everybody’s Girl” included in her seventh studio album Love? in 2011, where he had expressed his dissatisfaction about an unmasked version of “What Is Love” leaked on the Internet, but Gordon acknowledged that it was not Lopez’s mistake that he did not have any conflicts with, Wynter is also working on the composition for artists like Adrienne Bailon, Estelle and star of Gossip Girl Leighton Meester.

His debut album, With the Music I Die, was released on June 17, 2011 in Australia. The first single of the album, “Dirty Talk” was produced by Jupiter Ace and topped the lists of songs in the United States, more precisely in the Hot Dance Club Songs and in Australia, where it was certified with triple platinum disc. The second single, “Til Death” came to be ranked at # 16 on the singles charts of Australia and was number 3 on the dance charts of the United States. The song “Buy My Love” produced by Axwell and co-written by Nicole Morier, was released as a third single.

His collaborations as a vocalist for artists of the electronic scene stand out. In 2010, he contributed voices in the classic version of “I Feel Love,” produced by Rhythm Masters & amp; MYNC and in the single “Believer” with the Freemasons. In 2011 she was summoned by Steve Aoki to collaborate on her album Wonderland, on the single “Ladi Dadi”.

Wynter has announced through his Twitter that he has already recorded some songs for future studio album. Meanwhile, it will release a series of four EP’s called Human Condition, structured in an organic way and based on the density or aspects of human emotions and in a certain way taking distance from their previous musical incursions. His first installment is called Doleo (“Tristeza” in Latin) that can be downloaded for free from his website, where he prints a nostalgic sound from the 80’s euro pop and confronts it with the R & B’s glow of the nineties decade. “Stimela” was her promotional single, inspired by the song of the same name by jazz musician Hugh Masekela, and her second EP is titled Human Condition: Furor and will be released at the end of August 2012.
