Tommy Lee Wallace (born September 6, 1949) is an American screenwriter, director and producer.
Tommy Lee Wallace was born in Somerset, Kentucky, United States. He is the son of Robert G. Wallace and Kathleen Wallace, and he also has a sister. He grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and attended high school at the University of Western Kentucky.

Beginnings in the cinema
Wallace began to realize his dream of working in the film business in 1976 when he worked as a sound effects editor and art director on the feature film Assault on the District 13 Commissariat, directed by his longtime friend John Carpenter, with whom he had previously worked in 1974 on Dark Star, a low-budget sci-fi comedy whose filming required several years. In 1978, he served as a production designer and co-editor of Halloween, also directed by John Carpenter. In 1980, he carried out his work as an editor and production designer for the movie The Fog. He also appeared in a scene from the movie Halloween, playing Michael Myers.
Debut as director
On Halloween 2, John Carpenter, who played the roles of musician and producer, offered Wallace the chance to take responsibility for the direction. After much thought Wallace rejected the offer, arguing that he had been quite disappointed with the script. But later he would write and direct the third installment of the series, Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
Race to date
Wallace has continued to write and direct. In 1988 he co-wrote and directed Noche de miedo 2, starring the main protagonists of the first part: William Ragsdale and Roddy McDowall; the film received good reviews despite being a low budget sequel, thus demonstrating the talent of its director. In 1990, he served as writer and director of the miniseries It, based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. In 2002, he directed Vampires: The Dead, a continuation of Vampires, the 1998 film directed by John Carpenter.
He was married to actress Nancy Loomis, who played the character of Annie on Halloween and Halloween II, and with whom he had two daughters.
