Beginnings

He spent much of his childhood raised by his mother in the South Bronx, where he first encountered hip hop. After obtaining the necessary equipment from his stepfather and his uncles, he started working as a teenager and even enjoyed a minimum of success. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, and because of his repeated involvement in violent behavior at Harry S. Truman High School, he began working for his uncles, Joaquín and Darrin Dean, who were fellow executive directors of the Ruff Ryders label.

Musical career

With his aunt Chivon and uncles Dee and Waah Dean all involved with the Ruff Ryders label, he started producing tracks at the age of 16. A year later he sold his first hit to DMX, “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.” Then, he produced great hip-hop songs on how, in 1998, as “Banned from T.V.” from Noreaga, “Money, Cash, Hoes” by Jay-Z and more, all of these had been produced at the age of 19. The following year, most of the songs on the compilation album Ruff Ryders Ryde or Die Volume 1 were produced and it also produces Eve. In 2001, in a joint operation with Clive Davis, he established his own record label, Full Surface , which is a subsidiary of J Records The first signed artist was Philadelphia rapper, Cassidy. When Dean released his first compilation album Swizz Beatz Presents G.H.E.T.T.O. Stories, in 2002, it was then that he began to attract attention for his production style and interesting ideas. The same year, he released two singles “Guilty” and “Bigger Business”, accompanied by music videos, often associated with Ruff Ryders and Roc-A-Fella Records.
