Susan Boyle’s Biography
Susan Boyle was born in 1961 in the small town of Blackburn, West Lothian (Scotland), located between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Daughter of Patrick, a fireman, and Bridget Boyle, a typist. His parents were Irish immigrants. The youngest of four brothers and four sisters, Susan was born when her mother was 47 years old. As a result of a complicated delivery, Susan suffers from hypoxia. That is why it was erroneously believed for many years that Boyle had learning difficulties due to brain damage during his birth. Susan Boyle herself clarified that she suffers from Asperger’s syndrome. “It was a wrong diagnosis when I was a little girl, I was told I had brain damage, I always knew it was an unfair label, I now understand better what was wrong and I feel relieved and a little more relaxed with myself.” He started singing when he was 12 years old; I used to sing in choirs and at school concerts. She is a devout Catholic who participates in the activities of her parish, including singing.
In 1984, counting on 23 years, Susan Boyle appears on stage at the Social Club of the Fir Park Stadium, home of Motherwell FC, participating in a singing competition between the locals and visitors of the Midlands club. On that occasion he interprets I Do not Know How To Love Him (I do not know how to love him), from the play “Jesus Christ Superstar”.
Later in 1995, he auditioned in the program My Kind of People, a talent show, similar to Britain’s Got Talent, conducted by British comedian Michael Barrymore, performing again I Do not Know How To Love Him. On that occasion the driver of the program does not appreciate its quality on the contrary mocks Susan, aupado by the laughter of the audience.
Julie Febers, who was then 18 years old and her mother, Elizabeth MacLean, who also auditioned that same day, have published an unpublished video recorded with her camera, leaving for the story the disrespectful attitude of the British comedian towards one of his participants (see “External links”). In this video you can see the attitude of Susan, humble and probably professional, and in spite of being an amateur, she avoids the jokes that Barrymore played to continue immutable in her interpretation.
