Stephen Stucker (Des Moines, Iowa, United States, July 2, 1947 – Hollywood, California, April 13, 1986) was an American comic actor who appeared in several comedies made in 1970s and 1980s.

Stephen_Stucker’s Biography

Stuchker was born on July 2, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Lincoln School in Alameda, California. During his school days Stephen was known as a skilled pianist and also as the clown of the class, with talent for sarcastic humor. He graduated from high school in 1965.

Stucker made his big-screen debut by co-starring in the 1975 sexual comedy Madness Carnal where he plays Bruce Wilson, a gay fashion designer who escapes from an asylum with two companions and ends up in a girls’ school. In that same year he appeared in the film Cracking Up, along with Fred Willard, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer.

Stucker was a charismatic cast member of the comedy troupe Kentucky Fried Theater in Madison, Wisconsin, created by the Zucker trio, Abrahams and Zucker, as a member of this comic company featured in director John Landis’ film The Kentucky. Fried Movie, based on a script by this company, and later on the comedy Airplane! (in English land as you can / and where is the pilot?) 1980, where he played the eccentric Johnny, role he picked up in the sequel Airplane II: The Sequel, but with the name of Jacobs. In the first, the directors indicated the basic lines of the scene, and let him devise his extravagant replicas.

In 1982 he had a role in three episodes of the series Mork and Mindy, and in 1983 he appeared in another Landis film, Trading Places. In 1984, Stucker represented an obese psychiatrist, Dr. Bender, in the teen comedy Bad Manners.

Stucker was one of the first actors to publicly announce that he was HIV positive in the early 1980s. Stephen died in Hollywood, California at the young age of 38 due to complications from AIDS on April 13. 1986. He was buried in the “Chapel of the Pines” crematorium in Los Angeles.
