Shungiku Nakamura (中 村 春菊, Nakamura Shungiku ?, Japan, December 13, 1980) is a Japanese cartoonist, best known for her works of the Yaoi genre, Junjō Romantica and Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi. Currently, he continues working as a draftsman in light novels by Miyako Fujisaki as Junai Romantica.

Nakamura was born in Japan on December 13, 1980. In 1998, at the age of eighteen, he began working in the manga world with the completion of the two-volume manga Touzandou Tentsui Ibun, which was published by the Kadokawa Shōten publishing house in Asuka Ciel-DX magazine, specializing in the yaoi genre. In 2002, he created the manga Junjō Romantica, pre-published in the quarterly magazine Asuka CIEL DX of the Kadokawa Shoten publishing house. It is currently published in the bimonthly magazine Asuka CIEL Très Très of the same publisher. His work gained fame quickly and in 2008 it was adapted to anime by Studio Deen and directed by Chiaki Kon.

In 2002, he also debuted in the genre shōnen-ai with the work √W. PB published in the Square Enix Monthly magazine GFantasy by the publisher Square Enix, but returned to the yaoi genre with the manga Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, published in the biweekly magazine Asuka CIEL by Kadokawa Shōten, a series that was also adapted to the anime in 2011 by Studio Deen and directed by Chiaki Kon. In 2004, he officially moved to Tokyo and continues to work on various projects as a cartoonist.
