Sarah DeRemer Knauss (Hollywood, September 24, 1880 – Allentown, December 30, 1999) was an American supercenter. She was considered the longest person in the world by Guinness World Records on April 16, 1998, when she died at the age of 117, the Canadian Marie-Louise Meilleur, until her own death. At 117 years of age, he also became the oldest person to achieve the title of the oldest person in the world. Knauss is the third longest-lived verified person in history after the Japanese Shigechiyo Izumi, who lived 120 years. The first is Jeanne Calment. Sarah Knauss’s Biography

Knauss lived his whole life in Pennsylvania. He was born to Walter and Amelia Clark in the small, short-lived mining town of Hollywood and died in Allentown. In 1901, he married Abraham Lincoln Knauss (December 19, 1878 – March 1, 1965). She was a qualified seamstress, and made her own wedding dress, in addition to making tablecloths and her own clothes. It is said that he learned to sew when he was 4 years old. Sarah, who was 28 years old when Henry Ford introduced the Ford Model T in 1908, lived seven wars in the United States and 23 presidents of the United States. She was 31 years old at the time of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912 and 46 when Charles Lindbergh soloed across the Atlantic.

Knauss was a manager in an insurance office. When she got married, she became a housewife. Her only daughter, Kathryn Knauss Sullivan (November 17, 1903 – January 21, 2005) once said of her mother’s longevity: “She is a very calm person and nothing bewilders her. She is living for so many years. “

In 1995, when her 115-year-old was asked if she enjoyed her long life, Sarah responded quite naturally: “I enjoy life because I am healthy and I can still do things.” His hobbies were seeing golf in television, sewing and eating chocolate turtles with milk, cashews, and chips. “Sarah was an elegant lady and worthy of all the honor and adulation she had received,” said Joseph Hess, an administrator at the Phoebe-Devitt Homes Foundation facility where Knauss lived.
