Sarah Brightman (Hertfordshire, England, August 14, 1960) is an English soprano, actress, dancer and conductor who plays music of the genre called classic Crossover. He has sung in English, Spanish, French, Catalan, Latin, German, Italian, Japanese, Hindi, Mandarin, Russian and Occitan.

She has received 180 Gold and Platinum albums in 38 countries and is the only artist in the world to have taken # 1 on the Billboard Dance and the Billboard Classical Chart simultaneously.

In 1981, Brightman made his debut in the musical Cats and married composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, who he divorced in 1990. He subsequently starred in several musicals on Broadway and in the West End, including The Phantom of the Opera, at the which she played the role of Christine Daaé. The musical’s album has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling theatrical soundtrack of all time.After retiring from the theater, Brightman continued his musical career together with the former producer of the group Enigma, Frank Peterson, this time as an interpreter of the Classical Crossover genre. Brightman is credited with creating this musical style and remains one of the world’s leading vocalists, with sales exceeding 30 million records and 2 million DVDs, establishing herself as the most successful soprano in history.
