S Club 7

S Club 7 is a British pop group created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, comprised of Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O ‘Meara and Tina Barrett. The group came to fame starring in their own television series called “Miami 7”, by CBBC in 1999. Through the five years they were together, S Club 7 achieved: four singles Number 1 in England, an album Number 1 in the same country, a series of singles number 1 around Europe, and singles Top 10 in the United States, Asia, Latin America and Africa. They recorded a total of 6 albums (4 of study and 2 compilations), and made 13 songs as a single, reaching to sell more than 18,000,000 albums around the world. His first album, “S Club”, had a strong pop style of the nineties, similar to that of many artists of his time. However, throughout his career, his musical approach changed to a more R & B-style, which is mostly noted on his latest studio album, “Seeing Double.”

The concept and brand of the group was created by Simon Fuller, who was also his manager through 19 Entertainment. They were hired by Polydor Records. His television series had four seasons of broadcast, showing the group’s journey through the United States to finally, finally, in Spain. The series became popular in more than 100 different countries, where they were seen by more than 90,000,000 viewers. The show, which was a juvenile comedy, often reflected real life moments that were happening to the band, including the love affair between Paul Cattermole and Hannah Spearritt, as well as the eventual departure of the first group. < / p>

As well as the popularity of their television series, S Club 7 won two Brit Awards: in 2000, as a revelation group, and in 2002, as the best single. In 2001, the group won the “Record of the Year” award. But the success of the group soon changed, when Paul Cattermole announced that he was leaving the band, in 2002. His simple number 11 reached number 5 on the English charts, and his last studio album failed to enter the Top 10. < / p>

After Paul Cattermole left the group, S Club 7 fought with many rumors that they presumed they were about to split up. However, on April 21, 2003, during their last tour, the band announced that they were going to separate. After a separation of 5 years, it was announced in October 2008 that Paul Cattermole, Bradley McIntosh and Jo O’Meara would perform on a mini-tour. This consists of a series of presentations at universities and discos, where the three former members perform a few selected songs from their album “Best: The Greatest Hits of S Club 7.”

On October 20, 2014 and after several rumors of a meeting, S Club 7 confirms its return with an official presentation on November 14 in the British Children in Need telethon.
