Quiet Riot Short Bio

Quiet Riot is an American Heavy Metal band that, between 1983 and 1984, contributed to the success of the so-called glam metal in the 80s. They are known for their hits “Metal Health” and “Cum On Feel the Noize ».

The band was founded in 1968 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni under the original name of Mach 1, before changing the name to Little Women and finally to Quiet Riot in 1975. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Kevin DuBrow, Randy Rhoads, Kelly Garni and drummer Drew Forsyth. His current line-up does not have any original members, and consists of vocalist Jizzy Pearl, drummer Frankie Banali, bassist Chuck Wright, and guitarist Alex Grossi.

The name Quiet Riot comes from a phrase in the 1960s novel by John Barth Giles Goat-Boy. They are in the 100th of the 100 Best Hard Rock Artists of VH1 They managed to sell some 16 million copies in the United States and worldwide their sales exceed 60 million copies.

Kevin DuBrow, the original vocalist and the longest vocalist during the band’s existence, was found dead at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 25, 2007. The cause of death was due to a overdose of cocaine. Quiet Riot temporarily separated after his death, but was recently revived by Banali in 2010. After several years banali brings together musicians and young talents in 2017 he announces his new vocalist who would be none other than the American Idol finalist James Durbin .

In May 2017 after recruiting James Durbin Quiet Riot worked for a few months and in August of 2017 he released his new studio album entitled “Road Rage” with which they released the single “Can not Get Enough” which It has had a positive response in the United States, England and Mexico.
