Paul Franklin Dano (New York, June 19, 1984) is an American actor. He has worked, among others, in the films Little Miss Sunshine and Ruby Sparks.

Paul Dano was born on June 19, 1984 in New York and grew up in Connecticut, where his family had moved, and gained experience as a stage actor with supporting roles on Broadway, including A Month in the Field, with Helen Mirren; Christmas story, with Ben Vereen and Terrence Mann, and Inherit the Wind, with George C. Scott and Charles Durning.

At the age of sixteen he made his first film starring with L.I.E., along with Brian Cox, for which he received an Independent Spirit award for the best performance by a debutant and the Grand Jury Prize of L.A. Outfest in the category of Most Outstanding Actor in a Movie.

In 2015, he was part of the cast of Youth, directed by Paolo Sorrentino. The following year, he played Brian Wilson, singer of the Beach Boys, in Love & amp; Mercy and Pierre Bezújov in War and Peace, an adaptation of the BBC from the homonymous novel by Lev Tolstoy.

He is also a musician.

Since 2007 she is a couple of the actress and playwright Zoe Kazan.
