Paul Bostaph (born March 6, 1964 in San Francisco, California, United States) is a drummer who has played in bands such as Slayer, Forbidden, Testament and Systematic, and was a member from Exodus until March 2007. He is currently a member of Slayer, and has recorded the album The Formation of Damnation with Testament in 2008. On June 4, 2013 he joined Slayer again to play in Warsaw, Poland. The band, that after the death of Jeff Hanneman, will be finally composed by the Chilean Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph.

After replacing Dave Lombardo in Slayer, he recorded the disc Divine Intervention before leaving the band to start the formation of his new project, The Truth about Seafood. However, he returned to the Californian band in 1997 to replace John Dette and record the albums Diabolus in music and God Hates Us All. After injuring himself in an elbow that affected his ability to play drums, he left the group to join Systematic in 2003, two years after leaving Slayer.

With this group he turned for more than four months. However, during a football match he injured his knee and had to undergo surgery, forcing him to abandon the practice of his instrument for a year and abandoning the discipline of Systematic.

Already in 2004 he received a call from the Exodus representative to join this band, something that Bostaph accepted. Three years later, on March 28, 2007, Bostaph announced his departure from the group when the original drummer, Tom Hunting, returned to it. In October of that same year, Paul became an official member of Testament, with whom he recorded the album The Formation of Damnation in 2008. He currently plays in Slayer.

In June 2011 he leaves Testament and replaces him Gene Hoglan In 2009 Rolling Stone magazine published the list of the 100 best batteries of all time, in it Paul was included in the position number 86.
