Hilda Noomi Rapace (Hudiksvall, Sweden, December 28, 1979) is a Swedish actress, known for playing Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish adaptations of the Millennium saga: Men who hate women , The girl who dreamed of a match and a can of gasoline, and The queen in the palace of the air currents, She is also known for playing Madame Simza Heron in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), Elizabeth Shaw in the science fiction film of Ridley Scott, Prometheus (2012), Nadia in The Drop (2014) & Raisa Demidova in Child 44 (2015).

Noomi Rapace was born as Hilda Noomi Norén. Her current surname was adopted as a family name by marrying the actor Ola Norell, currently Ola Rapace, with whom she was married from 2001 to 2011. They chose the Rapace surname together after getting married and means “rapacious” or “bird of prey” in French.

Of Swedish mother and Spanish father, his father was the flamenco singer and gypsy actor Rogelio Durán (1953-2007) whose artistic name was Rogelio Dabargos, a native of Badajoz and whom he did not know until he was 15 years old Noomi Rapace had no contact with his father during his childhood, which happened in Järna, Södertälje and, later, in Iceland, when his mother married an Icelandic and where he lived for 5 years. Noomi Rapace has two stepsisters. His stepfather worked as a horse breeder and was involved in filming work, so at the age of seven Rapace had the opportunity to take part in the film Í skugga hrafnsins by Hrafn Gunnlaugsson in a small role. This experience made her decide to be an actress.

Two years later, the family returned to Sweden and enrolled Noomi in a school of Waldorf Pedagogy. In 1996, when she was 16, she made her television debut in the role of Lucinda Gonzales in the series Tre Kronor.

Noomi Rapace studied at Skara Skolscen between 1998-1999. He has performed at Theater Plaza 2000-2001, Orionteatern 2001, Teater Galeasen 2002, Stockholms stadsteater in 2003 and at Dramaten.

In 2007 she was part of the cast as the main actress of the film Daisy Diamond, premiered at the 2007 Donosti Festival.

In 2009, she played the role of Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish films of the Millennium trilogy: Män som hatar kvinnor, directed by Niels Arden Oplev; Flickan som lekte med elden and Luftslottet som sprängdes, directed by Daniel Alfredson. The films are based on the homonymous works of the Swedish writer Stieg Larsson. For this interpretation he obtained the best critics of his professional career, calling attention in Hollywood.

In 2011 he worked under Guy Ritchie, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

In 2012 he starred in the latest Ridley Scott film alongside Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron, Prometheus. Also, that same year, he stars in the video of The Rolling Stones Doom and Gloom.
