Nicolas Sarkozy’s Biography

Nicolas Sarkozy is the son of Pál István Ernő Sárközy of Nagy-Bocsa, born in Budapest on May 5, 1928, into a family belonging to the small aristocracy, whose title is derived from a 1628 grant from the Emperor Ferdinand II, king of Bohemia and Hungary, to an ancestor of his, distinguished in the wars against the Turks. In 1944, with the arrival of Soviet troops, the Sarkozy family suffers the expropriation of their property and is forced into exile. A long stage of pilgrimage through Europe begins, which will take them to Austria and Germany, where Pál meets a recruiter of the French Foreign Legion, where he enrolls for a period of five years and begins his military training in Algeria. However, this is truncated when it is declared useless to be sent to the Indochina War, and in 1948 is demobilized in Marseille. Afranish its name, changing it by Paul Sarkozy of Nagy-Bocsa. He becomes advertising, and in 1949, he married Andrée-Jeanne Mallah, daughter of a surgeon in Paris, and a Sephardic Jew converted to Catholicism, who studied law.

In 1952 the first son of the couple, Guillaume, is born, future director of companies in the textile sector. Three years later, in 1955, Nicolas was born. In 1958 François was born, the third child, who will be a pediatrician and researcher in biology.

In 1959, when Nicolas Sarkozy was four years old, his father Paul divorced his mother and left the conjugal home, forcing his mother to resume his studies and practice law to support his family. During Sarkozy’s childhood, his father refused to give any kind of financial help to his ex-wife’s family, although he had founded an advertising company and was in a good financial situation [citation & nbsp; required]. The family lived in an old mansion that belonged to his grandfather, Benedict Mallah, in the 17th arrondissement (“XVIIº district”). The family subsequently moved to Neuilly-sur-Seine, one of the richest communes in the Ile-de-France region, west of the 17th arrondissement, just outside of Paris. According to Sarkozy, his ideological ascription to Gaullism is inherited from his grandfather, a fervent follower of Gaullist, who had greater influence than his father, whom he rarely saw. His grandfather, a Sephardic Jew by birth, originally from Salonica, converted to Catholicism by marrying Sarkozy’s grandmother, a French Catholic by birth, so he was raised in the Catholic faith of his home. Nicolas Sarkozy, just like his brothers, was baptized and is a practicing Catholic [citation & nbsp; required]. Sarkozy said recently that one of his role models was the late Pope John Paul II.

Paul, Sarkozy’s father, did not teach his children Hungarian nor is there any evidence that it was to educate them in their cultural background.

Sarkozy said that being abandoned by his father shaped his current character. As a teenager, he felt inferior to his wealthy classmates, suffering from insecurities (due to his short stature of 165 cm, and the lack of money in his family compared to his neighbors), and it has been said that he accumulated great resentment towards his absent father. “What made me whatam now was the sum of all the humiliations suffered in my childhood.”

In academics, Sarkozy has a degree from the University of Paris X Nanterre and has practiced as a lawyer. He also studied at the Institut d’Études Politiques in Paris (better known as “Sciences Po”, which derives from political science), where he did not receive the degree due to his insufficient level of English.

On October 21, 2016, it provoked a controversy for its declaration «& nbsp; my electorate is popular, they are paletos & nbsp;».
