Modest Mouse Short Bio
Modest Mouse is an American alternative rock band formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington by guitarist and lyricist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, bassist Eric Judy and guitarist Dann Gallucci, previous member of Murder City Devils. Since joining the Epic Records label in 2000, the band has enjoyed significant popularity.
Isaac came up with the name “Modest Mouse” after reading The Mark on the Wall, a story by Virginia Woolf, in which the author describes the working middle class as “modest, mouse colored people” (in Spanish : “modest mouse color people”).
