Masamune Shirow (士 郎 正宗; Shirō Masamune), real name is Masanori Ota (Prefecture of Hyōgo, Kobe, November 23, 1961), is a Japanese manga cartoonist. “Masamune Shirow” is a pseudonym that refers to a type of sword (see: Masamune).
