Masami Nagasawa (長 澤 ま さ み, Nagasawa Masami?, Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, June 3, 1987) is a Japanese actress and model.
Masami Nagasawa’s Biography
Nagasawa was born on June 3, 1987 in the city of Iwata, Shizuoka prefecture. She is the daughter of the soccer player Kazuaki Nagasawa. One of Nagasawa’s most notable roles is in the film Gunjo, based on a novel by Ayako Miyagi and directed by Yosuke Nakagawa. Gunjo was the second Japanese film produced by 20th Century Fox. The filming ended on August 5, 2008 and was released in the spring of 2009, although Fox initially intended to premiere it at the Berlin International Film Festival in February.
Along with Joe Odagiri, Nagasawa starred in the TBS drama, Boku no Imoto, in which they played the role of brothers.
On October 20, 2009, Nagasawa starred in the movie Magare! Spoon, a film that premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival. In the film, she plays a clumsy assistant director of a television show about the paranormal, not knowing that the cafe she’s stranded on on Christmas Eve is the place for an annual gathering of men with psychic powers.
In 2010, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Fuji Television announced a television special entitled Wagaya no Rekishi. The story takes place between 1945 and 1964, and tells the lives of the seven members of the fictional Yame family. Nagasawa was one of the cast members. The drama was broadcast for three consecutive nights in the spring of 2010.
