Mary Carver (May 3, 1924 – October 18, 2013) was a US theater, film and television actress with a career spanning more than sixty years She was best known for her role as matriarch Cecilia Simon in the CBS television series Simon & amp; Simon, which starred Gerald McRaney and Jameson Parker as two brothers detectives. Carver starred in 153 episodes of Simon & amp; Simon played eight seasons between 1981 and 1989. In addition to acting, Carver taught at the theater department of the University of Southern California.

As a stage actress, Carver appeared on the Broadway circuit in the Out West of Eighth production in 1951, The Shadow Box in 1977, and Fifth of July in the 1980s.

Carver also worked on numerous television productions, including Simon & amp; Simon, The Donna Reed Show, ER, The Guardian, Gunsmoke, Lou Grant, Lux Video Theater, The CIPOL Agent, Mannix, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, McCloud, Quincy, ME, The Rockford Files, Star Trek: Enterprise, and The Twilight Zone.

Mary Carver passed away at her home in Woodland Hills, California, in 2013, at the age of 89. She was survived by her two daughters, Athena and Lia Sargent, the latter a prominent voice actress.
