Mamo Clark’s Biography

Clark was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and studied at the University of Southern California. Her debut as an actress was in the film Mutiny on the Bounty of 1935, where she worked with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton. The following year appeared in the film Robinson Crusoe of Clipper Island playing a Polynesian princess. In 1937, he worked with the actress Movita Castaneda in The Hurricane, but his career did not continue advancing, appearing later in several films of series “B”. His last important role was in One Million B.C. (1940). That same year he participated in the film by Marlene Dietrich and John Wayne, Seven Sinners.

After his retirement, he studied cinematography at UCLA, and later wrote a book about his life entitled Except Their Sun.

Mamo Clark died of cancer in Panorama City, California.
