Mackenzie Lyn Rosman (born December 28, 1989), is an American actress best known for her role as Ruthie Camden in the 7th Heaven television series.
Rosman was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She is the daughter of Donna and Lewis Rosman. She has a younger brother, Chandler (born in 1992) and had an older half sister, Katelyn Salmont (born 1986 – † 2008), who died of pneumonia and cystic fibrosis in December 2008. Her parents divorced when she had only 5 years old, since then her mother, her brother and she moved to Los Angeles, California. In 1996, she obtained the role of Ruthie Camden in 7th Heaven. In addition to her role in 7th Heaven, she also appeared in the independent film Gideon, starring Christopher Lambert, Charlton Heston and Shelley Winters. She has appeared in numerous television commercials since she was four years old, including a commercial for Tuff diapers and commercial Nike shoes. Her film roles include Molly MacLemore in Gideon.
Mackenzie played the role of Loreli in the film Ligeia in 2009, based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe. Her last film role has been Jill in the new horror movie, Fading of the Cries. She participated in the episodes “Till It’s Gone” and “Goodbye Amy Juergens” as Zoe, the teenager who sleeps with Ricky to get revenge on Adrian in The Secret Life of the American Teenager. At the end of July 2013, she posed in underwear for the men’s magazine Maxim.
