Luke Cunningham Wilson is the son of advertising executive Robert Andrew Wilson and photographer Laura Cunningham Wilson. His brothers Owen and Andrew also dedicate themselves to the world of cinema, as does his cousin Jack Black.
After studying university, in 1993 Luke collaborated as an actor in “Bottle Rocket”, a short film written by his brother Owen and by director Wes Anderson. This independent work would be awarded at the Sundance Festival, a fact that caught the attention of James L. Brooks, who would produce the same story but as a feature film with the same title “Bottle Rocket (Robber who steals another thief)” (1996).
Coincided in several films with actress Drew Barrymore: “The Godfathers of the Boyfriend” (1997) by Tamra Davis, “Everything is Home” (1998) by Dean Parisot, “Charlie’s Angels” (2000) by McG and its sequel, “Los Angeles de Charlie: Al Limit” (2003).
