Lucille Bremer (February 21, 1917 – April 16, 1996) was an American actress and dancer.

Lucille_Bremer’s Biography

Bremer was born in Amsterdam, New York. She began her career at the Radio City Music Hall at the age of 16. Bremer, along with actresses Vera-Ellen and June Allyson, appeared in the Broadway musical Panama Hattie in 1940. She was taken by a talent scout to Hollywood, where she signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

She made her film debut in the movie Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) as the sister of Judy Garland, followed by a co-leading role with Fred Astaire in Yolanda and the Thief (1945). His last important film was Till the Clouds Roll By (1946), since the MGM began to lose interest in continuing to sponsor it. After some small roles, he made his last leading role in Behind Locked Doors (1948).

He married Abelardo Luis Rodríguez, son of the then president of Mexico, Abelardo L. Rodríguez. They moved to Baja California Sur, Mexico, where they remained until their divorce, in 1963. Lucille settled in La Jolla, California, where she died in 1996 of a heart attack, at the age of 79.
