Linda_Lavin’s Biography

She began her professional career as an actress in 1963, dividing her time between theater and television, where she participated as a guest actress in several television series, such as Familia. His greatest success is due to the role of Alice, protagonist of the series of the same title, which was broadcast by the CBS network between 1976 and 1985. The character earned him 2 Golden Globe as best female actress in comedy and a nomination for an Emmy Award.

Also active in cinema, in 1989 he starred in the film See You in the Morning with Jeff Bridges and I Want to Go Home with Gérard Depardieu.

Present on Broadway stages since 1963, he has won two Drama Desk awards, the Tony Award, an Obie Award and the Lucille Lortel Award, in the years he starred in more than twenty plays, including El Diario de Ana Frank, Gypsy, Broadway Bound, Shallow Grave and Last of the Red Hot Lovers, the latest, by Neil Simon.

Since the 2000s she has resumed her work in television, acting as guest star in The Sopranos and The OC, where she played the grandmother of Seth Cohen during several episodes.
