Linda_Fiorentino’s Biography

Before making the final decision to become an actress Linda had thought about studying for a lawyer (although she graduated in Political Science from the University of Rosemont, Pennsylvania).

The followers of Linda Fiorentino consider their first years of cinematographic career as the most notable. After going from playing the girl in the romantic comedy Loco por ti (1985) to conventional heroin in Gotcha! (1985) Linda raised the eyebrows (and temperatures) of more than one in his role as a skeleton of remarkable architecture with a predilection for perverse sexual games in Martin Scorsese’s film After Hours (titled in Spain Jo, what a night!).

Shortly after a break in her career would open in which she would be lost in indescribable roles in various insignificant films, perhaps due to her well-deserved reputation as an actress difficult to deal with. The rebirth would come (like John Travolta) to throw her definitively to stardom with the role of black widow – amoral and amoral woman without scruples in John Dahl’s low budget film, The Last Seduction (1994). In a world less subject to rules, the actress would have been nominated for an Oscar, but the one that premiered on cable television before the theaters caused her to be ineligible by the American Academy, although she did receive the Independent Spirit Award, which she thanked alluding to the fact that it was the recognition that the people with whom he had always worked had given him and that was what really mattered to him; the London Critics Circle Film Award and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for her role as Bridget Gregory in The Last Seduction.

The success of The Last Seduction relaunched his career enough, but the roles he chose next could not help but be considered substitutes (the most notable being the William Friedkin thriller Jade) which quickly squandered the credit that I had given him Dahl’s movie.

However Linda would enjoy after some degree of recognition for her role as the only living descendant of Jesus Christ in Kevin Smith’s Dogma (1999), or the attractive forensic who preferred the company of the dead to the living in Men in Black ( 1997) and would continue to work constantly in all kinds of films, including Criminal and decent Thaddeus O’Sullivan, where he played one of the loves of a charismatic criminal from Dublin (Kevin Spacey) or In the crosshairs (2002) where again she re-incarnates a feminine role that has marked her throughout her career, that of independent, sophisticated, attractive and cold woman, this time in the figure of the wife of a magnate in the arms industry held in a public square by a vengeful sniper (Wesley Snipes) who accuses her husband of selling the weapon that killed her daughter.
