Lillian Randolph’s Biography
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the younger sister of actress Amanda Randolph.
He worked in the world of entertainment between the 30s and 70s, appearing in hundreds of radio shows, films, short films and television programs. Randolph is best known for her role as Birdie Lee Coggins in the radio comedy The Great Gildersleeve and her adaptations to the big screen and television, and as Madame Queen on the TV show Amos ‘n’ Andy between 1951 and 1953. Her best known performance in a movie it is by Annie in ¡Qué bello es vivir !. He also appeared in Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons during the 70s.
Another of her famous roles was Mammy Two Shoes in the animated short film series Tom and Jerry by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, made for Metro Goldwyn Mayer during the 40s and early 50s. Randolph appeared as a guest in an episode from 1972 of the television show Sanford and Son as Hazel, relative of the character Fred Sanford (Redd Foxx).
Randolph died of cancer in Los Angeles, California on September 12, 1980 at the age of 82.
