His paternal grandparents are José Luis Ortiz Velasco (1923-2005 at 82) and Menchu Álvarez del Valle (1928-); and on the maternal side Francisco Julio Rocasolano Camacho (1918-2015 at 98) and Enriqueta Rodríguez Figueredo (1919-2008 at 89).
