Lana Wood (born Svetlana Nikolaevna Zakharenko (in Russian, Светлана Николаевна Захаренко), Santa Monica, California, March 1, 1946) is an actress and producer American Wood was born to Russian exiled parents, Nikolai and Maria Zakharenko and is the younger sister of actress Natalie Wood. His first important role was at age 9 in John Wayne’s Western The Searchers. She was a regular on the Peyton Place television series. She is best known for her role as Plenty O’Toole in the 1971 James Bond film The Diamonds Are Eternal, and she appeared in a series of small films and guest roles on television throughout the seventies and eighties. < / p>
