John Robert Wooden (born October 14, 1910 in Hall, Indiana and died on June 4, 2010) was an American basketball coach considered the best coach in the history of the NCAA , thanks to the 10 championships won with his life-long team, the UCLA Bruins, between 1964 and 1975. He is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame as a player (1961) and as a coach (1973), something they have only achieved in addition to He Lenny Wilkens, Bill Sharman and Tom Heinsohn.
