James Edward Kelly (February 14, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) played football as a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.

Kelly is considered one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and possibly the best quarterback in the short history of the USFL.

He was selected in the legendary draft of 1983, was located after John Elway in expectations. Using the offensive K-Gun known for his shotgun and no-shot formations, Kelly led the Bills to four consecutive appearances in the Super Bowl in 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993, although on all four occasions they were defeated. In 2002, the first one that appeared in the polls was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.
