In 1987 he was the director and screenwriter of a successful mini-series of 9 chapters, called The Storyteller or The Storytelling starring John Hurt.

He was also creator of the Fraggle Rock program and directed and produced several films starring his puppets, such as The Muppet Movie (“The Muppets Movie / The Great Muppets Movie”, 1979), The Dark Crystal (“Crystal Dark / The Enchanted Crystal “, 1982), Fraggle Rock1983, Labyrinth (” Inside the Labyrinth / Labyrinth “, 1986), The Ninja Turtles (1990) and Dinosaurs (TV series) (1991).
