Jessica Paré (Montreal, December 5, 1980) is a Canadian film and television actress. She has appeared in the films Stardom in 2000, Lost and Delirious in 2001, Wicker Park in 2004, Hot Tub Time Machine in 2010, and co-starred in the horror and comedy film Suck in 2009. She plays Megan Draper, since the fourth season of Mad Men.

Jessica Pare’s Biography

First years

Jessica Paré was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, daughter of Anthony Paré, head of the department of education at McGill University, and Louise Mercier, a conference interpreter. He grew up in a Montreal neighborhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and has three brothers, Paré is bilingual, speaks English and French. His family is Catholic.

Paré’s parents were actors; his father was a drama teacher and he toured with a theater company. His mother acted in amateur productions. Paré watched her father in rehearsals as a child, and became interested in acting when she helped him learn the lines with his father for The Tempest.He attended Villa Maria, a private Catholic girls school in Montreal. Paré studied drama at TheaterWorks, and appeared in more than a dozen amateur theater productions as a teenager, including a role as Maid Marian in Robin Hood.

Paré got a small role in Bonanno: A Godfather’s Story, a mafia television movie, during her senior year in high school, which convinced her to pursue an acting career, and she also landed small roles in an episode of the Big Wolf series on Campus and in the French film En Vacances in 1999. He left the fine arts program at Dawson University and pursued an acting career for two years. At one point, he worked as a photographer’s assistant in auto photo shoots.

After auditioning for a small role in the independent film Stardom in 2000, director Denys Arcand chose Paré to star in the film. She played a naive ice hockey player propelled to international stardom as a supermodel, co-starring Dan Aykroyd; the role parallels his own participation in the film. Paré became “it girl”, followed by the release of the film. She was voted one of the 25 most beautiful people in Canada by a Canadian magazine, but she did not take the title very seriously.

Paré then starred in Lost and Delirious in 2001, with Piper Perabo, in a story of two young lovers at a girls’ school. The film was the debut in English by director Léa Pool, and debuted with positive reviews at the Cannes Film Festival, Paré appeared in the miniseries Random Passage in 2002, based on a series of novels by Bernice Morgan, and set in Newfoundland in 1800. Also that year, she appeared in the miniseries Napoléon as the emperor’s mistress. She had a cameo as a pop singer in Bollywood / Hollywood, and starred in Posers. Paré then appeared in the miniseries The Death and Life of Nancy Eaton in 2003, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti, in the role of murdered heiress Nancy Eaton.

Paré made her Hollywood debut in the 2004 film Wicker Park, directed by Paul McGuigan, as Josh Hartnett’s fiancee. Paré starred in Lives of the Saints that year, with Sophia Loren and Kris Kristofferson, a miniseries in 1960. She was in the fake documentary See This Movie, with Seth Meyeres and John Cho, and had a role in the drama series Jack & amp; Bobby The series was about two brothers, one of them grows to be the President of the United States; Paré’s character, Courtney Benedict, grows up to be the First Lady.

Paré filmed the television pilot Protect and Serve with Dean Cain in 2007. He shot the independent romantic film Jusqu’à toi in that year.
