Isobel Campbell (April 27, 1976) is a Scottish singer and composer of indie music and folk music.
Campbell was a member of Belle and Sebastian from her beginnings in Glasgow from 1996 to 2002, when she left the band for personal reasons. In the band he played the cello. Although he sang in some songs, in the majority it was only accompaniment. She co-authored the success “Legal Man”.

For this album she was nominated for the Mercury Music Awards. Campbell then toured the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
His second solo album, Milkwhite Sheets, was released in November 2006 and continued the folk trend of Ballad of the Broken Seas.
Annie Lennox recruited Isobell Campbell along with 22 other artists to draw the world’s attention to the transmission of HIV to African children during pregnancy.
In 2008 he published his second work with Mark Lanegan, Sunday at Devil Dirt, but unlike the album they edited together in 2006, in this case the entire composition is provided by Isobel herself.
