Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in the suburb of Park Ridge, Chicago, Clinton graduated from Wellesley College in 1969 and obtained her degree from Yale Law School in 1973. After serving as a parliamentary adviser on issues He moved to Arkansas and married Bill Clinton in 1975. In 1977, Rodham co-founded Arkansas Children and Families Advocates, a nonprofit organization. She became the first woman to preside over the Legal Services Corporation in 1978 and became the first female partner at the Rose Law Firm the following year.
