Henry Franklin Winkler (New York, October 30, 1945) is an American actor, film director, producer and writer who won the Golden Globe.

Winkler is mostly known for his role as mechanic Fonzie in the comedy Happy Days. The character, who started with a secondary participation, managed to become the main and favorite of the audience.

Henry Winkler’s Biography

He was born in Manhattan, his father, Harry Irving Winkler, was an executive of a logging company, and both Winkler parents, of Jewish religion, had emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1939, before the start of World War II. . Winkler studied at the McBurney School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emerson College in 1967 and then a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama in 1970. In 1978, Emerson College awarded him an honorary doctorate in Arts. / p>
