Heather Watson Short Bio

Heather Miriam Watson (Guernsey, May 19, 1992) is a British women’s tennis player. He trains at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida, United States. Watson has won a Grand Slam Junior title at the 2009 US Open, three singles ITF titles and won gold at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. He has been No. 3 in the world at the ITF Junior Circuit. On October 14, 2012 she became the first British to win a WTA title (after the failed attempt of her compatriot Laura Robson in the Canton Tournament) specifically in the Osaka Tournament after 24 years, since she did it Sara Gomer to win the Aptos Tournament in 1988. With this result, she exceeded the Top 50 barrier and is the only British currently in such condition to be precisely No. 50 of the general classification of the WTA.
