Virginia Elizabeth Davis , better known as Geena Davis (Wareham, January 21, 1956), is an American actress who won the Oscars and Golden Globes. It was listed as number 61 of the “100 movie stars of all time” by the Empire magazine of the United Kingdom, in October 1997.

Winner of an Oscar in the category best supporting actress in 1988 for her role in The Accidental Tourist (The Accidental Tourist) and nominated in 1991 for Best Actress in the film: Thelma and Louise. He has participated in many famous films such as: Tootsie, La mosca, Beetlejuice, Stuart Little and Earth Girls Are Easy, among many others. In 2006, she received the Golden Globe Award for best actress in a TV drama series.

Geena Davis is also a member of Mensa, the international association of the smartest people on the planet. One of his hobbies is archery, where he won 24th place in the semifinals for the US Olympic team of the specialty on August 21, 1999.
