Gary Edward “Garrison” Keillor (born August 7, 1942) is an American radio, narrator, comedian, voice actor and personality author. Famous for being the creator of the radio programs Minnesota Public Radio and A Prairie Home Companion (also known in other countries as Garrison Keillor’s Radio Show). The latter directed it from the year 1974 until the year 2016. Keillor is also the creator of the fictional city of Minnesota Lake Wobegon. In that city is where several of his books have been developed, including Lake Wobegon Days and Leaving Home: A Collection of Lake Wobegon Stories. Other of his creations include Guy Noir, a detective who appeared in the satirical comic books of A Prairie Home Companion, where Keillor was responsible for the dubbing.
