Francisco Manuel Perea Bilbao , also known as Fran Perea (Malaga, November 20, 1978), is a Spanish singer, actor and theater producer.

Son of José Joaquín Perea Rodríguez and Amparo Bilbao Guerrero. His sister is Maite Perea Bilbao, journalist, specialist in corporate communication (politics, health, pharmacy, culture and tourism). His father is a teacher and he was in the “Reyes Católicos” school in Vélez-Málaga, now he is a professor in the “N-15 Puerto de La Torre” institute.

Study at Los Olivos School in Málaga. During his youth he was part of a music group and scouts in the Group 39 of Malaga. In 1996 he started studying Biology at the University of Málaga, which he left to study Dramatic Art at the School of Dramatic Arts of Málaga. After graduating in 2000 he went to Madrid, where he participated in countless castings until he was accepted for his first role in the famous series “El Comisario”.


He premiered as an actor in a chapter of El Comisario (Telecinco), although he became known as Al salir de clase a year later. In 2003 he received the offer to play a role in Los Serrano (Telecinco), a series to which he put the soundtrack thanks to a song by Mikel Erentxun. At the beginning of 2006 he left his character to dedicate himself to the cinema.

After this work, Fran decreased its presence in television, although it had a role in several chapters of Hospital Central (Telecinco). In 2010 he participated in the program Tu vista favorita (Four), where he presented the Valle de Abdalajís, the hometown of his mother, in the province of Málaga.

In June 2010 he participated in the recording of the film From your window to mine, together with Maribel Verdú and Roberto Álamo. It is the first film by Aragonese director Paula Ortiz. He is also the protagonist of the short film El opositor, by the directors María Giráldez and Miguel Provencio. In the summer of 2007, he put aside his musical career to participate in the editing of Fedra, by director José Carlos Plaza with text by Juan Mayorga. In this work, he gave life to Hipólito and Ana Belén to Fedra, and her partner in Los Serrano Víctor Elías also participated in it. From mid-2008 to mid-2009 he toured with the play Don Juan, the mockery of Seville around many Spanish cities, as well as in Nice and Naples. In 2010 he represented the play All were my children, by Arthur Miller, directed by Claudio Tolcachir in the role of Chris, one of the protagonists.
