Enid Markey (February 22, 1894 – November 15, 1981) was a US theater, film and television actress.
His full name was Enid Virginia Markey, and he was born in Dillon, Colorado. Markey was the actress who first played Jane Porter (Tarzan) in the cinema, doing it twice in 1918 (Tarzan of the monkeys, The Romance of Tarzan).
Very active in the theater throughout her career, Enid Markey performed mostly on the Broadway circuit (New York) between 1919 and 1967, in pieces such as Happy Birthday, by Anita Loos, performed 563 times since October. from 1946 to March 1948. His penultimate theatrical performance took place with The Ballad of the Sad Café, work in which he worked with Colleen Dewhurst, and which was performed 123 times from October 1963 to February 1964.
His first film role came with The Fortunes of War (1911).
