Edward Helms (January 24, 1974, Atlanta, Georgia), best known as Ed Helms , is an American actor best known for his role as Stu Price in The Hangover and Andy Bernard in The Office (NBC). His beginnings, however, were as correspondent of the program The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Ed Helms’s Biography

Born and raised in his hometown, where he graduated as a dentist at The Westminster Schools (1992) with his partner at The Office, Brian Baumgartner, Helms attended Oberlin College and started an acting and comedy career in New York studying improvisation with the Upright Citizens Brigade trope.

He made live comedian appearances in New York City when, as he recalled in an interview in 2005, “The Daily Show had a kind of audition with a casting company with which he had treated.read my part, andgot the job. “

Between April 2002 and mid-2006, during which he participated in The Daily Show, Helms made “field reports” in addition to driving several segments for the program such as Digital watch, Ad Nauseam, Mark your calendar or This week in God. Although he left the program in 2006, Helms returned for brief and occasional appearances. On July 21, 2008, he covered the trip of the then Senator Barack Obama to Iraq under the title of Obama Quest. Ed occasionally narrates the Prescott Group films in The Colbert Report.

At the end of July 2006, NBC announced that the actor would join the cast of The Office, along with who was his partner in The Daily Show Steve Carell, to play Andy Bernard recurrently though, from the 3rd season of that series, the character became regular. When the actor returned to The Daily Show on December 5, 2006, he said he had left because “he was incognito in a paper company in Scranton,” alluding to his character in The Office. In addition, Helms said in June 2009 – in an interview with Public Radio – that he likes his character and that he is obsessed with a cappella music.

In the summer of 2009, The Hangover premiered, a comedy in which he plays Stu Price, a cuckold dentist very much dominated by his partner who travels with three friends to a bachelor party in Las Vegas.

In 2011 The Hangover: Part II, sequel to the first film, which made record profits in a film of this type, where he will now be involved in a series of problems and unexpected turns in the city of Bangkok Thailand .

In 2013, he parodies Ben Lovett in the video clip “Hopeless Wanderer”, by Mumford & amp; Sons.
