He grew up in Westport, Connecticut. At the age of 14 she was discovered for the artistic world by the Eileen Ford Agency in New York, which launched her career as a model. It was cover of the magazine Vogue and Young Miss. That’s when director Woody Allen after seeing his image in a magazine, offers him his first role in the movie Stardust Memories.
Later, she joined the cast of the television series Search for Tomorrow in the role of Susan “Suzi” Martin Wyatt Carter between 1981 and 1983.
His next relevant character was that of the young acting student Holly Laird in the popular series Fama, which he played for three seasons (1983-1987).
Afterwards, she has intervened, among others, in the films Modern Girls, Youngblood (1986), with Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze; Salvador (1986), by Oliver Stone; Short circuit 2 (1988); The Karen Carpenter Story giving life to the singular singer (1989) Freedom to die (1990), with Jean-Claude Van Damme and in the series Diagnóstico Asesinato (1992), the adaptation for television of the play Gypsy (1993) and the series Deadly Games (1995). He has also starred in different TV movies such as A family lost (2007), titled in Spain On the edge of deception.
She has been nominated for the Golden Globes (1993) for her role in Gypsy.
She is married to actor Scott Kramer, and is the mother of three children.
