Bill Ward (real name: William Thomas Ward ) (born May 5, 1948 in Aston, Birmingham, UK) is the drummer of the prestigious band of Heavy metal “Black Sabbath”.
This was an original member of the group, Ward sang in two songs by Black Sabbath: It’s Alright (from the album Technical Ecstasy) and Swinging the Chain (from the album Never Say Die!). Bill Ward appears in the position number 1 of the best drummers in history according to Time Rock magazine, beating Carl Palmer of E.L.P, Neil Peart de Rush etc.
Before joining Black Sabbath, Ward and his friend Tony Iommi played in a band called “Mithology”, and joined the singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler, who were part of a group called “Rare Breed”. Between 1969 and 1980 Ward was present in the formation of Black Sabbath. Leave the band for personal reasons in August 1980 during the presentation of the album Heaven and Hell.
