Bill Goodwin (July 28, 1910 – May 9, 1958) was an American actor and broadcaster, known for his regular work on the radio show of George Burns and Gracie Allen and the subsequent television program The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, in which he worked between 1950 and 1951, being replaced by Harry von Zell.

Born in San Francisco (California), Goodwin was known for frequently promoting the products of the sponsors of his shows (Swan Soap or Maxwell House, among others, on the radio, and Carnation evaporated milk on television), being very effective to integrate commercial advertisements into the scripts of your shows.

Goodwin occasionally presented other theatrical and television shows, including Penny to a Million and Dollar a Minute. His last job as an announcer took place on the NBC show The Bob Hope Show (1953-1955).

In addition, Goodwin worked for the cinema, intervening in several films, among which include The Jolson Story (1946), Jolson Sings Again (1949) and The Big Beat (1958), in the latter with a regular Burns and Allen, Hans Conried. In The Stork Club (1945) he played Sherman Billingsley, was a hotel detective in the Alfred Hitchcock film Spellbound (also 1945), and acted alongside Doris Day in Tea for Two (1950). His last important role was that of narrator of the cartoon television production Gerald McBoing-Boing.

Bill Goodwin died in 1958 in Palm Springs, California, because of an acute myocardial infarction. He was 47 years old. He was buried in the Desert Memorial Park Cemetery in Cathedral City, California. His son, Bill Goodwin, was dedicated to jazz music playing drums.
