Benny Ibarra de Llano (Mexico City, September 8, 1970), better known as Benny Ibarra , is a musician, singer, producer, composer, arranger and Mexican actor with 35 years of artistic career. Known mainly for having been a member of the Timbiriche musical band.
Benny Ibarra was born on September 8, 1970 in Mexico City. He studied at the Madrid School in Mexico City. Benny belongs to a family of artists. His grandparents were Luis de Llano Palmer (pioneer of radio and television), and actress Rita Macedo. His uncle is the telenovela producer Luis de Llano Macedo. His mother, Julissa, is an important actress, singer and producer, his father, Benny, is an actor and singer and his brother Alejandro, has served as an actor.
He made his professional debut a few months after being born in the Mexican film “Novia, esposa y amante”, although he became famous when he began his musical career in the Timbiriche group in 1981 with which he participated in 6 albums, sold million copies and toured throughout the Mexican Republic, the United States, Central and South America. At the same time, he starred in the musical “Vaselina” and participated in the staging of Jesus Christ Superstar. His theatrical credits include the stellar musicals “Godspell”, “Hermanos de Sangre” and “El hombre de La Mancha”.
After leaving Timbiriche in 1985, he was replaced by Eduardo Capetillo. Between 1985 and 1989 he studied voice, guitar, classical music, composition and musical theater at Walnut Hill School for the Arts and in 1990 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States, before returning to Mexico permanently.
Upon his return he participates as a composer and musical director at the OTI Festival of Song, which gives him recognition as the youngest orchestra director in the history of the contest.
As a producer, he has made some albums he wrote, five by Onda Vaselina, one by the progressive rock band Santa Sabina, one by Edith Márquez, Vuelta Al Sol by Sasha, Benny and Erik and the album by El hombre de La Stain.

The first single “Uno” remained at the top of the lists for eight weeks. The album became a gold record in two weeks and reached platinum. The second single “Inspiración” was included in the soundtrack of the movie of the same name.
2002. “Great successes.” His first compilation of hits included a new single “Irremediable” from the soundtrack of the movie “The Blue Room”, a duet with Edith Márquez called “The Other” (a theme that would identify Televisa’s novel of the same name) and a new version of the classic “Heaven”. As a soloist he has performed five times in the National Auditorium of Mexico City with a capacity of 10 thousand spectators.
Benny has made commercials for “Danone”, “Boomerang”, “Colgate-Palmolive (Suavitel)” and “Liverpool” and has participated in several awareness campaigns within Mexico.
In 1998, Timbiriche met to tour 60 dates in 7 months. They appeared in 20 consecutive occasions in the National Auditorium of Mexico City, establishing a new record. Benny was musical director and produced the live album of the tour “El concierto”.
In 2007, Timbiriche meets once again to celebrate the band’s 25 years with a tour, 3 albums and a documentary made by Carlos Marcovich. The tour broke its own record by performing 23 times in the National Auditorium and 80 shows throughout the Mexican Republic, the United States and Central America. Benny was musical director of the project and creative co-producer of the show, produced two of the three albums: “Somos” with excerpts from the concert and his producing company “Once & nbsp ;: Once” was in charge of the realization of the tour DVD. / p>
In 2008 Benny first ventured into the dubbing field, but only considered StarTalents (being invited to dub), giving life to the protagonist of the children’s movie “Desperaux”, a great little hero. “In addition to This movie, in 2011 gives life to “Eb” the Easter rabbit on the Hop tape and in 2016 it was Buster Moon in the multi-name movie Sing.
