Bebel Gilberto , artistic name of Isabel Gilberto de Oliveira (New York, May 12, 1966), is a composer and performer of Brazilian music, coming from a family of Brazilian artists: daughter of João Gilberto and singer Miúcha (Heloísa Maria Buarque de Hollanda) and niece of the singer and composer Chico Buarque. She started singing as a child, participating in children’s choirs on albums and musical works such as Os Saltimbancos and Pirlimpimpim.
At the early age of 7, Bebel makes an appearance on the solo album of his mother Miucha. At the age of 9, Bebel participates with his mother and saxophonist Stan Getz at the Carnegie Hall Jazz Festival.
