Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo (San Joaquin, Santiago, Chile, May 22, 1987) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a mixed midfielder and his current team is Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Germany is also international with the national team of Chile, with which he has been champion of the Copa América in 2015 and 2016.

He is currently considered one of the best midfielders in the world, [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] being praised by both footballers [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] as coaches, former footballers [21] [22] and even leaders. [23] He stands out for being a multifunctional footballer capable of occupying all the positions of Front or Extreme, [24] [25] area in which he has settled in recent years after having developed throughout his career in other areas as a defensive midfielder or libero. He made his debut in the Chilean First Division in May 2005 with Colo-Colo, a club with which he won a three-time national title, as well as a runner-up in the Copa Sudamericana. In mid-2007 he made the leap to European football with his transfer to Bayer Leverkusen of the Bundesliga.
