Anna Chancellor (April 27, 1965) is a British actress. It is known mainly by its action like “Duckface” in Four weddings and a funeral next to Hugh Grant. She has also been recognized for her work as Caroline Bingley in the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and in the Spooks spy series, in which she plays Juliet Shaw.
Anna is the daughter of John Paget Chancellor and Mary Alice Joliffe (daughter of William Jolliffe, 4th Baron Hylton). For her mother, Anna is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Prime Minister H. H. Asquith and her father is the great-great-great-granddaughter of the Earl of Winchilsea and Nottingham. His uncle is the journalist and commentator Alexander Chancellor and one of his ancestors was the famous writer Jane Austen.
During her third year at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London and at twenty-one, she became pregnant and left her. In 1988 Anna gave birth to her daughter Poppy Chancellor, fruit of her relationship with the Scottish poet Jock Scott; however, the relationship ended.
In 1993 he started going out with cameraman Nigel Willoughby, whom he met while making an advertisement for Boddington’s; the couple married that same year, but they divorced in 1999.
Later he started dating Redha Debbah, a sound technician. The couple finally got married in 2010.
