Andrew_Shue’s Biography

Son of a lawyer and a bank executive and brother of actress Elisabeth Shue, she enrolled at Columbia High School, in Maplewood, New Jersey. During his time in high school, he devoted himself to football and later came to play at Queen’s Park FC in Glasgow. In 1989 he graduated in History from Dartmouth College. He later moved to Zimbabwe, where he joined the Highlanders F.C. soccer club, with which he won the country’s soccer league. During that time he was the only white player in the first division of an African country.

Back in the United States, he began his artistic career when he was selected, in 1992, to play the role of Billy Campbell in the famous production of Aaron Spelling Melrose Place. Andrew stayed in the cast of the series for six years, between 1992 and 1998 during which he achieved enormous popularity as did the rest of the cast members.

During that time, he also appeared in the film The Rainmaker (1997), by Francis Ford Coppola film, starring Matt Damon.

In 1996, while still participating in the filming of Melrose Place, he played for the Los Angeles Galaxy team, within Major League Soccer, the first division of American football.

After the cancellation of Melrose Place, she abandoned her acting career, with the only exceptions of the films Gracie (2007), along with her sister Elisabeth.
