First years

Menard was born in 1971 in Flin Flon, Manitoba, and grew up in Saskatchewan.

Race

Menard became known in the television series Moccasin Flats (2003) (in which he played a Police Agent in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan) and for his starring role as Constable Tara Wheaton in the series Rabbit Fall ( 2007-2008). Since 2005 is the voice of the characters Sarah Merasty and Kohkum in the program Wapos Bay: The Series of the APTN channel.

As a jazz singer, Menard wrote and composed the musical entitled The Velvet Devil. In 2005, he was included in the compilation album Real Divas – Torch Light Vol. II with fifteen other Canadian jazz singers. Menard’s music has been used internationally in many television programs, of which the Queer as Folk series stands out.

In May 2005, Menard was one of those chosen to entertain the reception of Queen Elizabeth II of England, commemorating 100 years of the appointment of Saskatchewan as a province of Canada.

Their second album, Simple Steps, was released on December 3, 2005. Their third album, a Christmas song collection titled Sparkle, was released in 2008.
