First years

Shipp grew up in Phoenix, Ariz. Her mother is a white-skinned Kundalini yoga teacher and her father is a black musician She has a brother named James Shipp was educated in Squaw Peak Elementary School and St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Phoenix He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to pursue his acting career.


In 2009, Shipp made her acting debut with a minor role in Alvin and the Squirrels 2. She starred in the third season of the teen drama and mystery television series House of Anubis, playing the role of KT Rush.

In 2014, Shipp was tapped for his role as Dani Raymond in the VH1 television movie Drumline: A New Beat and Aaliyah Houghton, in the Lifetime TV movie Aaliyah: The Princess of R & B. the one who sang some songs. He then played Ice Cube’s wife, Kimberly Woodruff, in the biopic drama Straight Outta Compton, which recounts the careers of the hip hop group N.W.A. In January 2015, he joined the superhero film X-Men: Apocalypse as Ororo Munroe / Storm, a mutant who controls the weather, previously played by Halle Berry, and starring alongside Kathryn Prescott and Lucy Hale in the film comedy Dude.
